The TMP N4 is a high definition networked player that can download content from TiroMedia's CMS, a regular web server or playback from a USB of CF disk (Standalone Mode). In addition to supporting up to 1080p
resolution (through HDMI), it also comes with both
wired and optional wireless network interfaces.

Features of the TMP N4 include:
Ease of Use: The TMP N4 is designed for continuous usage with minimal maintenance (if any). Content updates are done through the CMS,
a user-provided website or by directly updating the local disk. In the Standalone
Mode, the player can have its content updated through USB without
even removing the CF disk.
Auto Power: The player can be setup to automatically power itself on and off during set times.
Reliability: The player has no moving parts (no fans or hard-drive). In addition, its power consumption is considerably less than than of a PC. It is also
safe from viruses, worms, etc. In the event of a power failure, the system will safely shut down. The unit will automatically restart when the power is back on.
Small Footprint: At 6.8 x 4 inches, it is one of the smallest HD
digital signage players. This means it can fit in virtually any space. In addition, because it is super lightweight, it can be easily attached to any surface.
Alert Support: The TMP-N4 supports alerts which can contain
images, video and tickers. Once an alert is activated (based on location), the player
will interrupt the regular content playback and switch to the content configured
in the alert. Once the alert is de-activated, the payer will automatically switch
back to regular playback.
Dynamic Playback: The player supports media playback based on time of day. For example, it is possible to schedule specific content between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. In addition, it is possible to schedule content to run over a specific perdiod
of time (days, months, etc).
Ticker Support: The player supports both dynamic tickers (RSS) as well as static tickers (user-provided). This unit can handle multiple tickers which are configured through the CMS. The player can also download dynamic ticker text
from a user-provided web site.
Dynamic Updates: The player can be configured to check for updates (content,
campaigns, etc) every few hours or even every few seconds. The player automatically
manages content being displayed and only downloads items that have changed. The player will also send a playback report to the CMS
at regular intervals.
Storage: The TMP N4 relies on a user-provided CF card or USB drive to store content.
If more storage is needed a new card can be inserted. The player will then re-download any content from the CMS server. No re-configuration is necessary!
Networking: The TMP N4 can use wired ethernet but it also supports optional
Wi-Fi
connectivity. This allows for seamless integration in evironments where no wired
network is available. The player supports the optional WEP encryption.
